A Glimpse at the Life of
Gervas P. Allen

Gervas Phran Allen passed away on January 19, 2023 in Dallas,
Texas. She was born on October 29, 1951 to the parents of R.Q.
Allen Sr. and Ethel Lee Allen.
Gervas attended and graduated from Allen High School in Allen,
Texas. She furthered her education at Sul Ross State University in
Alpine, Texas.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She grew up in St. Mary's
Baptist Church in Allen, Texas and later became a member of St.
James CME Church in McKinney, Texas.
Gervas was the first African American Girl Scout in Collin County,
Texas. Gervas worked for Rockwell International in Plano, Texas and
later for Trucking Company Sand and Gravel in Dallas, Texas. In her
free time she loved to spend time with her family and friends doing
various activities.
Gervas, who was often referred to as "Pat", gave birth to three
beautiful daughters of whom she cherished. Through them, she was
blessed with three beautiful grandchildren of whom she loved and
adored very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents R.Q. Allen, Sr. and Ethel Lee
Allen; sister Annice White; brothers Billy Allen and David Allen.
In God's care, she leaves behind her three beautiful daughters Hazel,
Danielle and Trelonza all of McKinney, Texas; three beloved
grandchildren Alyssa Self, Reagan Higgins and Ethan KataramaAllen; one dear brother R.Q. Allen Jr. (Beverly) of Trenton, Texas
and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gervas "Pat" Allen will forever be missed and cherished by all who
knew and loved her
