Obituary

The life of Gloria Ann began on June 16, 1960, where she received love, nurturing and guidance from her parents, Wayne and Ellone.

Gloria, who was affectionately called "Ann" by many, attended church with her parents at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church where she accepted Christ at an early age. At Rose of Sharon, she was very active in the youth choir, youth Sunday School, BTU and Congress. In her adult life, she united with Sunset Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Matthew C. McGruder and attended until her health started to fail.

Gloria Ann attended the Arlington Independent School District and was a 1978 graduate of Sam Houston High School. During her high school years, she was a Tex-Anne drill team member and participated in a talent show where she was the runner up. Her talent was singing "Our Love" by Natalie Cole.

After graduating, she met the love of her life Arthur Daniels Jr., and from their love three beautiful children were born: Chrystal Nicole, Christopher Matthew and Christian Deion.

Gloria Ann developed quite a few health issues later in life which caused her to have to take up to thirty pills daily. God saw she was tired and on October 4 she answered God's call and took His hand. Jesus said to her "Come to me all who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give your rest." Matthew 11:28

Standing at the gates of Heaven with Jesus to welcome her to her new home was her husband Arthur Daniels Jr.; three children Chrystal Nicole, Christopher Matthew and Christian Deion; her father Wilbern Wayne Smith; a very special nephew Brian Wayne Smith; grandparents, aunts, uncles and her close friend, Lois Roland.

The loved ones that remain to cherish Gloria Ann's precious memories are her mother Mrs. Ellone Smith; sisters Paula Henderson and Felecia Smith; Nephews Jaelan Henderson, David McKinney Jr. and Darius McKinney; great nephews Brodey Smith and Daxton Cade McKin-ney; great niece Jaci Briana Henderson; special nieces Ashley Savage, Delandra Hall, Ariel Valdez and Jaquayla Young; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
