Gwendolyn Mims was born on January 4, 1961, to the parentage of the late C.V. Mims and Lucille Mims. She received her formal education from the Grand Prairie Independent School District where she graduated from South Grand Prairie High School.

Gwen accepted Christ at an early age and frequently attended Wholeness Connecting Center Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.

She lived life to the fullest and would always wear a smile. She loved people and devoted her love and life to her family and friends. Those who knew her and loved her will miss her tremendously.

Gwendolyn is preceded in death by, her parents C.V. Mims and Lucille Mims, and brother C.V. Mims, Jr.

Those left to celebrate her life & legacy are, her siblings: Janis Cheatham, Donald Mims, Brenda Mims, Eddie Mims, Larry Mims, Rickey Mims, and Teresa Mims, special friend Clarence Powell, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
