September 20, 1930 – October 1, 2023
Harry L. (Jim) Hall Sr. was born September 20, 1930 in Gloster,
LA (Desoto Parish) to the parents of Willie and Bertha Hall. Harry
completed grade school and also attended Central High School.
Harry joined the United States Military, became a Paratrooper,
and fought in the Korean War.
Harry L. Hall Sr., Jim as he was affectionately called, accepted
Christ as his personal Savior at a young age. He became a member
of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church in the late 1950s.
On February 22, 1967, Harry L. (Jim) Hall Sr. and Ruby were
united in holy matrimony. Born into this union were four beautiful
children: Ricky Hall Sr., Linda Hall, Harry L. Hall Jr. and
Marcus D. Hall.
On October 1, 2023, the one we knew and loved left us in the
flesh to join our Father in Heaven. His spirit will forever live in
our hearts. Harry (Jim) is now resting in eternal peace where
there's no more pain, no more suffering and no more worrying.
Harry L. (Jim) Hall Sr. leaves to cherish his memories and carry
on the wall of God his Loving Family: devoted wife Ruby Hall;
three sons Nathaniel Morris (Sandra), Harry L. Hall Jr. (Michell),
and Marcus D. Hall (Kim); a daughter Linda Hall-Johnson
(John); daughter in law Harelle Hall; a sister Bereatha Moore and
a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
cousins and other relatives and friends.
Harry L. (Jim) Hall Sr. was preceded in death by his parents Willie
and Bertha Hall; son Ricky D. Hall Sr.; and fifteen brothers
and sisters: Henry Hall, Bettye Mae Myers, Melissa Stewart, Clavon,
Simeon, David, Limmie D., Dan, Oscar Sr., Sammie,
George, Annie Mae Scott, Mary Taylor, Willie Hall and Noble D.
Those who knew Harry L. (Jim) Hall Sr. will remember him as a
hardworking man with a generous spirit and a strong sense of values
who loved his family and loved to laugh. The memories he
leaves behind will be a lasting treasure for generations to come.
