Helen Smith was born in Dallas, Texas on January 29, 1951, to the parentage of the late Betty Smith and Robert Smith.

Helen accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Pathway of Life Church in Dallas, Texas.

Helen worked for Dallas Independent School District and retired after 32 years of service.

On the evening of December 31, 2019, Helen was called home to rest from this life's journey. She was preceded in death by her parents Betty Smith and Robert (Racoon) Smith and siblings Betty Jackson, Ella Ruth Massingell, Katherine Hicks, Charles Smith, J.C. Jackson, and Bobo Smith.

Helen is survived by her daughters: Carolyn Smith (Larry) and Charlotte Smith (Tony Bryant); siblings: Mildred Smith, Laura Smith, Pauline Jackson, Caroline Smith, Paul Jackson and Rayford Smith; five grandchildren: Mashanda (Sha-Sha) Smith, Jamaria Smith, Cenesha Smith, Jakari Smith and Ta'Nayiah Bryant; five great-grandchildren: Briyah (Bri-Bri) Smith, Al Patterson, Jr., Amarian Patterson, Jeremiah Smith (J-Mann) and Armiaj Patterson. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
