Obituary

Henry Earl Wallace was born March 7, 1947, in Panola County Texas to the parentage of Henry Vance Wallace and Cozette Wallace, He was called home on the morning of October 16, 2018. He accepted Christ at an early age and served faithfully at  Zion Baptist Church in Rowlett, Texas, and Sims Chapel Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. He ended his service at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Terrell, Texas, where he served as a Deacon, a member of the Male Chorus, Shepherd's Ministry, and was a vital part in the overall upkeep of the church.

Henry was proud to be a Vietnam Veteran. He served honorably with the 68th Assault Helicopter Company as a Door Gunner. After returning from his tour of duty, he worked at Varo for a short time, and then began a long career with the United States Postal Service,  where during his 36 years of service he served in many capacities.  He was also very active in the communities, in which he resided. While living in Rowlett, Texas he was on the Planning and Zoning Committee, The Board of Adjusters, and the President of the Concerned Citizens Committee. He was also a City Council member in the city of Oak Ridge.

Henry Wallace was a dedicated family man, with strong faith. He affected the lives of many people during his walk in life. He helped those in need and just did what needed to be done without being asked. He was a mentor, to many young men, he taught them life skills, and took the time share his knowledge, love and wisdom. He always had a saying, " I just did what was right".

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cozette Wallace and Henry Vance Wallace, his son Roderick Tyrone Wallace, and his sisters Ruby Barrett, and Charsie Wallace.

Left to cherish his memory are: His wife Sandra Wallace, his 2 daughters Yvonne Wallace-Ellis(LaDaryll) of Garland; Andrea Wallace of Rowlett; son Antonio Price(Angela) of Little Elm. 10 grandchildren, Krystina, LaKya, Daria, Joshua, Nathan, Antajua, Michael, A.J,Taylar, Preston and 4 great grandchildren.

2 brothers, Charles Wallace of Rowlett; Calvin(Caren) Wallace of Nassau, Bahamas, 7 sisters, Vera Jones of Maybank, Sue(late Frank)Townsel of Dallas,Texas Georgia(Andrew) Heard of El Paso; Savana(Johnny)Porter of Katy; Rosie(James) Cheatham of Arlington; Ira(Keith) Wilson of Keller; Laverne(Darrell) Simmons of Katy; Goddaughter Zakiya(George) Ross; of Duncanville, Godson Ca'lib Watts; and host of nieces and nephews.
