Mrs. Ida Mae Bailey was born in Chilton, Texas on March 23, 1930 to the parentage of Aaron Oneal and Inez Davis along with her eight siblings: Lacey D. Davis, Charles Davis, Arlone Davis, Frank Davis, Clarence "Adam" Davis, Ellis Wayne, Rose Gentry and Grace Gene Benson.

Later in life she met the love of her life, Mr. Eligra Charles Bailey. They united in holy matrimony on September 9, 1947 in Falls County. After they were married they relocated to Grand Prairie, Texas and owned their own home by the 1960's where they raised their five children.

On December 7, 2018 Mrs. Bailey was called home to be with the Lord. She will be welcomed at Heaven's Gates by her husband, Eligra Bailey and her son Norman Bailey.

She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memories, four children: Joseph Bailey, Easter Bailey, Christopher Bailey and Rita Bailey; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
