On September 13, 1942, Jackie Ruth Berry was born to the parentage of Vandolar Harrison and Queenie Ruth Pogue Harrison in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She grew up Sulphur Springs and later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas.

Jackie accepted Christ at an early age and followed Him all her life. She recently joined Sunset Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Matthew C. McGruder where she served until she no longer could.

Jackie was the mother of two beautiful daughters Glynis- father Willie Conley and Contenia- father Douglas Berry. Jackie married Douglas O. Berry and they became one with their loving family. She was an amazing mother who extended her love to her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and fully embraced both the great joys and deep sorrows along her life's journey, counting them all as part of God's perfect plan for her life.

On December 1, 2023, the one we knew and loved left us in the flesh to join our Father in Heaven. Mother Jackie was greeted at Heaven's gate by her husband Douglas O. Berry; parents Vandolar Harrison and Queenie R. Pogue Harrison; sisters Cynthia Davis and Brenda Taylor; brothers Joseph, Bobby, Ken and Edward Harrison.

Jackie leaves to cherish her memories: her loving daughters: Glynis Harrison and Contenia Alexander (John Alexander); three grandchildren Taneisha, Wesley and Cherelle; seven great grandchildren Benaya, Danika, Tara, London, Nylah, Ryder and Wesley Omari; sisters Roberta, Carmalita, Rita and Linda; brothers Walter, Van, William, Kerry and Mike and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mother Jackie is now resting in eternal peace where there's no pain, no suffering and no worrying. We will remember her as a selfless, kind, loving and strong God fearing mother with a generous spirit who loved and cherished her family and would always lend a helping hand. The memories she leaves behind will be a lasting treasure for generations to come. Her spirit will forever live in our hearts.
