Remembering the Life and Legacy of
Deacon James Robert Alexander
~A Life Well Remembered~
James Robert Alexander was born on May 23, 1941to the union of Louis
and Sylvia Alexander in Gary, Indiana.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1959. He enlisted in the
United States Air Force in 1960 throughout 1980. He earned many degrees and certificates; he retired as a Master Sergeant. Afterwards, he
worked in Saudi Arabia for many years, then moved to California (Bay
Area) where he was employed by BART (Bay Area Rapid Transportation) for twenty plus years.
He was delighted to give his life to the Lord in the early eighties. He
served in many capacities of the Church including Sunday School Teacher, Bible Band Warrior, Choir Member; and loved Bible Study. He was a
blessing to many churches in California and Texas. He was a faithful
prayer warrior and loved going to the House of the Lord until his health
began failing.
In 1993, he married Betty Alexander of Princeton, Texas. She was the
love of his life!
James was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his loving wife, five children, four
grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
