James Bernard Hale, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2019, in Grand Prairie, Texas. James was born on August 2, 1935, in Marshall, Texas.

In his early years, Mr. James was a Chef at Lennox Hotel in Grand Prairie, Texas. He later became a driver for the senior citizen in his community, he retired in 2012.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mae Della Hale; his parents James and Jimmie Hale; two brothers Martin Samuel and Curley Lewis; son Wayne Brown; step-son Leonard Bernard White and granddaughter Tamara Hickman.

James is survived by one daughter Carolyn Whitemon; two grandchildren: Demuir McQueen and Glen McQuinney; ten great grandchildren ; eight great-great grandchildren ; one brother: Henry Houston (Shirley) of Marshall, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
