Janice Sue Harris was born on April 13, 1959 to the late Harvester Harris and the late Katherine Harris in Wylie, Texas. On January 1, 2020, surrounded by her family, she gained her wings and flew away to Glory.

Janice graduated from Garland High School in 1978. Years later she attended Eastfield College. She was a longtime employee of Pearl C. Anderson School.

Janice dedicated her life to Christ at a young age. She was a faithful member of Extended Life Church of God in Christ where she served under the leadership of Pastor Calvin Harris.

She is preceded in death by her father Harvester Harris, mother Katherine Harris, sisters Johnnie Faye Wright, Irene Cook and brother Larry Harris.

Janice leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Shambrecia (Larry) Johnson; grandchildren: Jaria Harris, Cameron Harris, Shamari Harris and Jalan Johnson; children she embraced as her own: Julisha Jackson, Carl Cannon, Mark Jackson, Tiashia Jackson and Mark Jackson, Jr.; four brothers: Calvin (Debra) Harris, Willie Harris, Nathaniel (Vivian) Harris and Harvester Harris, Jr.; four sisters: Mary (J.E.) Fontaine, Sr., Rosa (Chris) Heath, Betty Young, Kathy Okoro and a host of other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
