Janie Mae Wilson was born in Frankston, Texas on October 15, 1939 to the union of Edgar and Arushie Rainey. She attended Frankston High School and later graduated.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Arushie Rainey; her son Ruben Gerald Richardson; her husband Edward Wilson; three sisters and five brothers.

Janie leaves to cherish her memories, two sons: Steven Lee Richardson (Sadie) and Neal Patrick Richardson; four daughters: Janice Westbrook (Ricky), Laquita Richardson, Samantha Williams and Patricia Amidon (Brian); nineteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister: Argie Fulton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom she loved and cherished.
