Obituary

Jayne Sharon Ridley Morrison, born on July 13, 1949, in Blossom, Texas,
to the late Willis Ridley, Jr. and Patty Walker Ridley, was a woman of
unwavering faith. From a young age, she found solace and joy in serving
God, a passion that led her to join Oakhill Baptist Church under the
guidance of Reverend Smith. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her active
participation in church programs during holidays. The family later moved to Paris,
Texas, where Jayne and her sister Joan's commitment to their beliefs drew their
parents to Hospitality COGIC. The Ridley family became a part of Hospitality
COGIC under the leadership of the late M.B. Ellison, with Jayne dedicating her time
to the youth department, a testament to her deep-rooted faith.

Jayne dedicated her life to God at a very early age. She attended Gibson Elementary
and was a part of the integrated Paris High School. She graduated from Paris High
in 1967. After high school graduation, she moved to Dallas, Texas. She worked for
Texas Instruments, Aetna Life and Casualty, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and MCI,
where she held various roles in finance and administration. She graduated from
Rutherford Business College with a degree in Bookkeeping/Finance.

Jayne met her husband, the late Arthur C. Morrison, Jr., in Dallas; they married in
1972. The happy couple were blessed with two children, Andrew Clint Morrison
(Verna) and Artrendyl Candra Morrison-Wills (Ty). Clint has a daughter, Amber
Morrison; and Candra has a son, Brock Wills. Additionally, Jayne was blessed with
a bonus daughter, Shannon Mills Roberson (Derick), who has two daughters, Taylor
Wooten and Jasmine Roberson. Jayne was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother
who loved to cook and express her love through family gatherings. Her greatest joy
was adoring her grandchildren.

Upon moving to Dallas, she joined First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, working
with the church's Business and Professional Organization, led by the late Dr. J. Lee
Foster. After her dad's health failed, Jayne decided to transition her membership
back to Hospitality COGIC, where she worked as a Sunday School Teacher and
Youth Choir Director until she was unable to travel.

Jayne enjoyed an extraordinary forty-five years of marriage with her beloved
husband Arthur Morrison, Jr. Together, they shared a bond that was an example of
love and commitment for each other. She was a devoted mother that exemplified
pride and love for her children. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts that
cherish her.

Jayne is predeceased by her husband, Arthur Morrison, Jr.; her parents, Willis and
Patsy Ridley; her in-laws, Arthur and Rachel Morrison; four brothers, John Ridley,
Don Ridley, Marvin Ridley, Marcus Ridley; one sister, Joyce Lawrence; her
grandparents, Willis and Namoi Ridley along with Dick and Rosa Walker.
Left to cherish her with loving memories: sister, Joan Smith; sisters-in-law, Janice
Morrison, Mary Ridley and Angela Ridley; aunts, Billie Henry and Johnnie Sue
Savage; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
