IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeanetta Marie
Hariston
December 10, 1971 – March 4, 2026
Jeanetta Marie Hariston was born on December 10, 1971, to James Franklin Smith and Marsha Ann Jordan in Los Angeles, California.
Jeanetta grew up with a spirit that was equal parts generous and fierce. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, spend her last dollar to put a smile on someone's face, and then make sure she got the last word in about it. That was just her way, and everyone who loved her knew it well.
Jeanetta had a heart that leaned naturally toward others. She was deeply family-oriented, a loyal and caring friend, and someone who never looked past a person in need. She had special, heartwarming compassion for the homeless and anyone going through a rough patch. If you were down, she was there. Of course, if she caught a cold, she expected that same energy returned -tenfold-because she would be the first to admit she was a big baby when she got sick.
Her passions were many. She loved crocheting, arts and crafts, decorating, and cheering on her favorite football teams. She was an avid traveler who enjoyed seeing new places. She was a proud member of her motorcycle club, where she found community and camaraderie on the open road. For those closest to her and knew her, she was loving known as "Justice".
On March 4, 2026, in Dallas, TX, Jeanetta passed away at the age of 54 years old. She was predeceased by her father, James Smith; sister, Candy Smith; and grandmother, Ann Merchant.
Jeanetta leaves behind her mother, Marsha Jordan; husband, Marques Hariston; her children, Tyniekqua (Rhashun) Prewitt, N'Anna DeCatur, Robert DeCatur, and Jacqualyn DeCatur; four grandsons; and six granddaughters.
Also left behind to cherish her loving memory are her sisters, Christina Meschino, Adlena (Anthony) Shampkin, host of nieces and nephews along with her extended family/sister, Sherita Ross and her two fur babies, Ginger and Gentleman.
Jeanetta's faith in God was a steady presence in her life, and her family takes comfort in knowing she rests now in His grace and peace.
