On February 12, 1973 Jeffrey Denard Rodgers was born to Johnie and Joanne Rodgers in Dallas Texas.  Jeffrey was educated in Richardson Independent School District and graduated from Lloyd V. Berkner High School in 1991. He attended Richland College, was a licensed Massage Therapist and eventually received his Bachelor's Degree from The University of Phoenix in 2012.

Jeffrey worked for Olmsted -Kirk Paper Company, International Paper, Ford Motor Credit and most recently Dallas Avionics as Credit Manager.

Jeffrey was known for his amazing hugs, his undying loyalty, sense of humor, great smile, gentle touch, his passion for life and his love for people. He left an unforgettable mark in the lives of everyone he touched. In December he began working with the Dallas chapter of Coming to the Table, the first in Texas, an organization that focused on interracial healing and change.

On or about May 29 ^th Jeffrey's light was dimmed much too soon for those of us left behind and rocked us to our core. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Ollie Rodgers and maternal grandparents Robert and Pearline Freeman. So many will miss his presence and the goodness he brought to the world. He leaves behind his parents, Johnie and Joanne Rodgers; his sisters, Janyne Pierre and Juanita Joseph (Shon); his brother, Johnie; his nephews, Johnie, Julian, Xiomar, Justin; his niece, Camryn; a special young man Logan Millet, a host of other relatives and special friends and loved ones.
