Obituary

Mr. Joe Nathan Clark, Sr. was born on May 27, 1937, to Will Clark and Lucile T. Clark. He was called home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2024, at the age of 87.

Joe met and married the late Vernice May Clark, and together they were blessed with five children, Joe Nathan Clark, Jr., Sheila Denise Thomas, Diana "Patrice" Jones, Vincent Clark, and Varney Eugene Clark. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and later became a well-known businessman, running his ice cream truck in Fort Worth, Texas. Unfortunately, their marriage ended, but Joe's commitment to his children and work never wavered.

Joe then met and married Gloria Dean Clark, with whom he had four more children, Cindy Marie Clark, Sylvia Dennis, Veronica Denise Clark, and Nathan Joe Clark. He continued to serve his community, running a successful snow cone business, and became known for creating Clarks Deodorizer's Fragrance for cars and homes, a product beloved by many.

Joe Clark was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. He formed a Gospel band with his late sister, Glenda Clark; his niece, Linda Sue; his nephew, Keith Clark, and other musicians who shared his passion for worship.

Joe later met and married his final love, Faye Clark, with whom he raised Demond Dixon, whom he lovingly accepted as his own son from the age of 3. Together, they were blessed with a son, Joemeil Narron Clark.

Joe was a hardworking man, a devoted husband, and a loving father who brought his children together with love and joy. He touched the lives of many with his vibrant spirit and unwavering faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Clark; and leaves behind his 12 children, Joe Nathan Clark, Jr., Sheila Denise Thomas, Diana Patrice Jones, Vincent Clark, Varney Clark, Cindy Clark, Sylvia Clark-Dennis (Husband), Veronica Denise Clark, Nathan Clark, Demond Dixon-Clark, and Joemeil Narron Clark. He is also survived by his brother, James Clark, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Joe Clark's legacy of love, hard work, and faith will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends.

Rest in peace, Joe. You are forever in our hearts.
