Joe Earvin Collins was born August 5, 1948 to the parentage of Earvin
and Mattie B. Collins in Carthage, Texas.

In 1969 at the age of 21, Joe decided to leave the life of farming that his
parents were living, and moved to Rowlett, Texas to live with his Aunt Cozette in
search of a new and different life.

Joe met Jacquelyn Pearl Mathis (Jackie) and they were married December 13,
1969. With this union, two children were born, Adrian and Tajuanna, Joe and
Jackie were married until her demise on June 20, 1994.

Later in life, Joe met Barbara Ann Smith, and they were united as one on June 14,
2013 until his demise on March 25, 2024.

Joe was employed at Kraft Foods in Garland, Texas where after serving 35 years,
he retired in 2005.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Earvin and Mattie B.; first wife, Jackie; son,
Adrian; step son, Marvin; brothers, Hardy and James; sisters, Wanda, Eva, Grace,
Betty, Hazel, Joyce and Jean.

Joe leaves to cherish his loving memories: his devoted wife, Barbara; beautiful
daughter, Tajuanna; son-in-law Sherdon; grandsons, Brandan, Sherdon, Jr. (DJ),
Mason, Ashantiz (MJ); granddaughter, Adrienne; great grandchildren, Bradyn,
A'meri, Kyhari, Denice and De'ziyah; sisters, Ruby and Juanita; sisters in law,
Sarah (Jessie), Nita, Irma, Linda, Diann (John), Lora (S.W.), Lisa and Pam;
brothers in law, Billy, Curtis (Peggy) and Kenneth; as well has a host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joe will be remembered as a man who was a provider, protector and loved his
family. The memories he leaves behind will be a lasting treasure for generations to
come.
