John Watts was born August, 31st, 1948 in Wills Point, Texas to Mrs. Velma Williams and Horace Williams.
He received his education in Wills Point. He joined the United States Army and was in the army reserve for over 25 years.
John was a faithful, longtime member of St. Mark C.M.E. Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Male Chorus and the Adult Choir. He was a Delegate to the annual conference and traveled to support various events for the church. He was faithful until death in all held positions for the St. Mark C.M.E. Church.
John worked and retired from various jobs. He was always willing to help and never met a stranger. John loved his motorcycles; he specifically enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle.
John was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Williams; brother, Horace Williams, Jr., and sister, Cherlyn Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his devoted wife, Bridgett Sims Watts, his loving stepdaughter, Lois Jean Thompson (Kip); his sister, Staci Williams; his brother, Troy Williams (Dee) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
As we say our final goodbyes to John, let us remember the love and joy he brought into our lives. We are externally grateful for the time we shared together, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
