IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph
Holton
March 22, 1972 – November 29, 2023
Joseph "Big Joe" Holton was born on March 22, 1972 to the parentage of Joseph Hines Holton and Virginia Holton in San Francisco, California. His family moved to Shreveport, Louisiana
when he was around ten years old and later moved to Texas.
Joseph received his formal education in the Dallas Independent
School District.
He met Denise Godley the love of his life in his young adult
years. They dated, started a family and were committed to each
other for thirty-two years before deciding to unite as one on July
10, 2021.
Joseph was a strong-willed and hardworking man who had a way
of brightening any room whenever he walked in, as well as a
laugh that resonated through the room upon his presence.
Joseph loved his family and friends. He tried the best he could to
be a great husband, father and friend. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. Joseph was full of life and loved to
make people smile. He was a selfless man whose passing has left
an unfillable gap in the hearts of each and every one who had the
pleasure of knowing him.
On November 29, 2023, the one we knew and loved left us in the
flesh to join our Father in Heaven. Joseph is proceeded in death
by his parents Joseph Hines Holton and Virginia Holton.
Joseph leaves to cherish his precious memories: devoted wife
Denise Holton; sons Marcus Holton and Joseph Elijiha Holton;
daughter Tiffany Holton; Grandchildren Aeryal Holton, Andre
McClary, and Alexander McClary; sisters Phyllis Huguley aka
Precious and Janice Holton; brothers Tony Huguley and Eric Huguley (Alicia); nieces and nephews Shaquita Duncan, Donny
Duncan, LaToya Duncan, Christopher Huguley, Ashley Huguley,
Xavier Huguley, Bobby Marie Fisher, Mackenzie Fisher and
many other relatives and friends.
Those who knew Joseph will remember him as a kindhearted man
with a generous spirit who loved his family and loved to have a
good time. The memories he leaves behind will be a lasting treasure for generations to come.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Take your rest, Joseph Holton.
