Obituary

Joshua Nictrell Grant, born on January 29, 1995, in Chicago,
Illinois, to Patricia Grant and Tyrone Blocker, was called home
by the Lord on July 17, 2024.

Joshua was a cherished member of his community and a loving
father, son, brother, and friend. Growing up in Chicago, Joshua's
family relocated in 2007, embarking on a new adventure. They
first settled in Irving, Texas, where they were embraced by the
Dayspring Family Church. The family then moved to McKinney,
Texas, and eventually to Howe, Texas, where Joshua became an
active member of One Community Church, serving as a life
group leader.

Joshua was a passionate individual with a heart for service. He
was a dedicated student pursuing a bachelor's degree in
accounting, and he was known for his commitment to raising
awareness for cancer through his favorite color, pink. His love for
sports was evident as he excelled as a team captain on his high
school football team, playing multiple positions with enthusiasm
and skill.

Joshua's memory will be lovingly cherished by his precious
daughter, Everleigh Rose Snarr (princess) of Pilot Point, Texas.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Patricia Grant, and his
father, Tyrone Blocker. He leaves behind his sister, Sharita, and
his brothers, Jeremiah, Joseph, and Mario.

He is also remembered by his uncles, Edmund (Alicia), Kenneth
(Cathy), Louis Jr., and Deveal (Quiana), as well as his aunt,
Teresa, and great aunt, Ethel. Joshua was also blessed with a
bonus mother, Katherine, and two bonus brothers, Thomas and
Jordan. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends who will continue to celebrate his life and legacy.
