Juanita was born to the parentage of Horace Johnson and Marjorie Towns on October 9, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of three girls.

She married John Harris in 1951, and from this union they were blessed with two daughters before they divorced. In 1961, she fell in love again with Richard Lowery and together, they were blessed with one daughter and two sons.

Juanita loved the Lord first and foremost, her family second and loved the casinos! She was an avid Pokeeno player and always won everyone's pennies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Vivian Walker and Ruth Martin; stepsister, Mildred Jean Cooke; stepbrother, William Clark; her niece, Patrice Dean; and her grandson, Chris Harris, Jr.

Juanita leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Sandra Harris, Deborah Allen (Rico), Celeste Davis, Derek Harris (Vickie), and Chris Harris, Sr. (Terrie); 14 grandchildren; a host of great and great-great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.
