Obituary

During her 91 years of life, she gave precious and unwavering service as a caregiver, a friend, and a confidant to several prominent families in Waycross. Everyone who got to know her, loved her unconditionally. When you shared a secret with her, it would go no further. She was purposeful with her love in that she would pour into the least of them to help them discover and treasure their greatness.
Always desiring to serve, she returned to school to become a Nurse's aide. She worked at the Baptist Village Nursing Home for 10 years in that position. It was evident by her life and conversation that she loved God with all her heart. She was a "mighty prayer warriors" who believed that prayer can change any situation. Her greatest desire was to see her entire family saved and living for God. Her favorite phrase was "this too, shall pass."
She is best known for her hobby of growing flowers, plants, and various fruit trees in the yard. Even her plants responded to her love and tenderness by spreading their foliage.
