Obituary

Katherine McGinty Horton was born to the parentage of Carrie Kidd McGinty and Spurgins McGinty on May 24, 1935 in Benton LA.
Sister Horton joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was an active member until her health failed.  She was a member of the church choir and bowling league.   She was a member of the Eastern Star Society.
Sister Horton graduated from Bossier Parish Training School.   She retired from AT&T Shreveport Works after 30 years of employment.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Sandy Horton; to this union three children were born Donald, Edward and Shelia Horton.
She was preceded in death by her father Spurgins McGinty, her mother Carrie Kidd McGinty Anderson, her husband Mr. Sandy Horton, her brothers Mr. Cleon McGinty and Mr. Roy T. McGinty, and her son Mr. Edward Horton
Sister Katherine Horton leaves to mourn her passing son and daughter-in-law: Donald and Susan Horton of Rowlett TX.; daughter: Shelia Horton-Whipple of Garland TX; four grandchildren: Carmen Horton-Roberson of Cedar Hill TX, Brandon Horton of Baton Rouge LA, Jonathan Horton of Houston TX, and Joanna Horton of Addison TX; three great-grandchildren: Harley and Charley Roberson, and Camdyn Horton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
