A Glimpse at the Life of
Kerry Davante Peter Cottrell
On Sunday, March 19, 2000, we welcomed a child unto the world
& was blessed with a gift from God, our 2nd baby boy, Kerry was
called in at an early age on Sunday, February 26, 2023 to be with
the Lord at the young age of 22.
Kerry Davante Peter Cottrell was born to his loving parents,
Kionne Cottrell and Kevin Thomas.
Kerry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He later moved to
Texas (2005), after Hurricane Katrina with his family, that then
settled down in Rowlett, Texas. He attended J.J. Rhoads
Elementary, Dade Middle, Schrader Middle & Rowlett High
School. Kerry enjoyed and loved playing football (Southside
Rams & Schrader Middle School and flag football), basketball
and video games. Kerry had the opportunity to wrestle for Glen
Mills in Philadelphia & was currently boxing in Arlington, Texas.
Kerry Davante Peter Cottrell's legacy continues through the lives
of his mother, Kionne Cottrell (Billy Tomas), and his father
Kevin Thomas. His children; Kerry Cottrell Jr., D'kharia Cottrell
and Kerriona Cottrell, his kids were the LOVE of HIS LIFE.
Kerry was indeed a wonderful and loving father to his kids. His
siblings will indeed miss him, his brothers: Kevin, Karon,
Kemond, Kelin, Keondre Cottrell and Kaylan Tomas, as well as
his baby sister Kaniya Tomas and he was proceeded in death by
his big sister Kevinesha Cottrell. His grandparents;
Ms. Waltdrena Jeanmarie, Ms. Yolanda Cottrell and Mr. Peter
Brown (Andrea Brown). As well as a host of aunts, uncles,
cousins, family and friends.
