Obituary

LaDeirdra Ann Hemingway was born to the parentage of Reverend Alvin
McCoy Hemingway, Sr. and Yvonne Elizabeth Hemingway on April 15,
1978 in Sacramento, California. She was raised in a military family that
resided in several states, the Philippines and England.
At a very early age LaDeirdra accepted Christ as her Lord and personal

Savior. She received her formal education in the Bossier City School Dis-
trict in Bossier City, Louisiana. She was an honor roll student whose fa-
vorite subjects were math and science. She attended Parkway High School. LaDeirdra was an athlete who loved running track. She was on
the Parkway Hugh School's track team and won several medals running
cross country.

LaDeirdra later moved to Dallas and completed her GED. She went on to
get her Medical Assistant license. She was employed at First Acquisition
Prosperity Bank 2012-2014.

Her sister LaVonda would soon join her in Dallas, Texas. LaVonda and
LaDeirdra had a bond that was unbreakable. They would always call and
stay in touch with each other. LaDeirdra showered her sister with gifts and
love. LaVonda used to walk to her apartment every day on her lunch (her

job was across the street from where she lived) to spend time with her sis-
ter. They would often spend time watching Law and Order: SVU and

Monk together. Every other Sunday after she got out of church, she and
LaVonda would go to Golden Coral for sister time!

LaDeirdra was a beautiful God-fearing, selfless, loving, generous and kindhearted woman who loved her family, music, reciting the Bible, shop-
ping and most of all crab legs. She always kept a smile on her face which brought joy to everyone she encountered.

LaDeirdra was preceded in death by her father Reverend Alvin McCoy
Hemingway, Sr; grandparents Janne Pickett Hemingway and Joseph
Hemingway; and grandfather Booker T. Beatty, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her four loving children Davon Hemingway, Tyrell Hemingway, Andre' Drumgoole Jr. and Ka-
Vonne Hemingway; grandchildren Adrianna, Naomi and Dalayzia; mother Yvonne Elizabeth Hemingway; sisters LaVonda Alvina Hemingway and Regine Hemingway; brother Alvin McCoy Hemingway, Jr.; nephews Jeremiah and Joshua Hemingway and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

We will not remember LaDeirdra for her struggles, but for the love be-
stowed upon us, for the moments of joy she brought into our lives. We will remember the smiles, the laughter, the warm embraces, the kindness
and the moments of genuine connection...the way she loved with an open
and generous heart.
