Larry Donnell McGee of Dallas, Texas died on Thursday, May 16,
2024 at the age of 68. He was born on January 1, 1956 in Honey
Grove, Texas to Mary Logan.

Larry was employed with the City of Dallas as a mechanic where he
proudly retired after serving 16 years. Throughout his career he
received multiple certifications enhancing his field of employment.

Larry was one of a kind. A caring, selfless and kind man with a
gentle soul who loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed
working on cars and watching sports. He would always get excited
about football season so that he could watch his favorite team
play - The Dallas Cowboys. He loved cheering for his Cowboys! He
also enjoyed cooking and grocery shopping. He would go from store
to store shopping for all the food items he enjoyed. He will be
missed dearly.

Larry is preceded in death by his aunts, Margaret Faye and Myrtle
Butler; and an uncle, C.L. McGee.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Laverne McGee of Dallas, TX;
loving daughter, Latira (Chris) of Dallas, TX; sons, David McBride
(Nikki) of Red Oak, TX and Dameian McGee of Dallas, TX; three
grandchildren, Trey, Nyshawn and Ananisia; one great grandchild,
Ayden; his loving mother, Mary Logan of Dallas, TX.

He also leaves to cherish his memories, one brother in law, Morris
McBride (Jeri) of Rowlett, TX; two sisters in law, Virginia White and
Shana McBride of Vernon, TX; an aunt, Gene McGee of Vernon,
TX; cousins, Joyce Butler, Nettie Ford and Johny Butler all of
Vernon, TX and a host of other relatives and friends of whom he
loved dearly.

We will carry his memory with us always, cherishing the moments
we shared.
