Lela Pearl Robinson was born on October 19, 1932 to the parentage of Semore Robinson and Tammer Robinson in Crockett, Texas. She later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas in 1947. She united in holy matrimony to Levelle Lee, Sr. in September of 1950. To this union six children were born.

She was a long time member of Evening Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she served faithfully as a member of the Stewardship and Finance Committee, Director of the youth choir and President of the Usher Board until her health failed. She was employed for over 29 years and retired from DFW Medical Center as a Nurses Technician.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Semore and Tammer Robinson; her brothers, Jette Lee Robinson, Willie Henry Robinson, Lucky B. Robinson; children, Avie Washington, Levelle Lee, Jr., Fredell Lee and stepdaughter, Laverne Sneed.
