IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leonard Darnell
Maxey
October 30, 1955 – May 12, 2024
Leonard Darnell Maxey, Age 68, of Richardson, Tx, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 8:00 pm.
Born on October 30, 1955, in Houston, TX, Darnell was the son of Melvin and Fannie Maxey.
Darnell went on to become an entrepreneur and a jack of all trades. He made significant contributions to the community by teaching anyone and everyone (who would listen) all that he knew when it came to being your own boss. Darnell was a staple member of the church community, holding various positions from ushering to always contributing in Sunday School.
Darnell was known for his impeccable style, whether attending church or completing janitorial work for his company "Me & Thee". He would wear button shirts and slacks to make sure your floor was waxed. He will be remembered for his kindness, love of family, and his faith.
Darnell is survived by his wife, Dedra Maxey, of 31 years, his children Danielle Monea Malone (TJ), Janelle Darnea Maxey, and Lola Carlyle Maxey, grandchildren Kaison Messiah Mebane and Daniel Jagger Malone, and siblings Zarricor Glasper, Barry Hendrix, Melgenia Cannedy, Melvin Maxey, Mitchell Maxey, and Meagan Newton. He is preceded in death by Moncel Christopher Newton, LaTonya Glasper, Fannie Maxey and Melvin Maxey.
