Lettie James Sharp was born on May 30, 1938 in Venus, Texas to the parentage of the late Elmer Carter and the late Bertha Williams. She received her education from Waxahachie High School.

Mother Sharp accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Grove Temple Church of God in Christ for many years. She later joined Rivers of Life Pentecostal Church under the leadership of her son, Pastor T. R. Sharp. She was faithful and dedicated to the Lord until her demise

Ms. Lettie was loved by all who knew her. She was very polite and talkative. She was a seamstress, a bus driver and loved children. Just in case she didn't tell you, she loved singing and going to church to hear the Word.

On November 24, 2018, in comfort and peace, God's angel, Lettie, went home to be with God. She is preceded in death by both her parents; husband Ernest Sharp; son Michael Sharp; daughter Gracie Sharp; sisters Elmerine Carter, Alice Butler, Bertha Powers, Dorothy Hailey and one grandson Joseph Sharp.

Mother Lettie leaves to cherish her memories her children: Linda Thomas (Larry), Sandra Sharp, LeRoy Sharp, Edwin Sharp (Ruby Faye), Eucie Sharp and Pastor Timothy Sharp (Judy); one sister Shirley Tubea and a host of grandchildren, other relatives, friends and church family.
