Lewis Lee James III was born on September 24, 1982 in Houston, Texas to the parents of Lewis James II and Brenda Grant-MackMiller.

Lewis received his formal education in Allen, Texas and graduated from Allen High School in 2001. He also graduated from Wyoming University.

Lewis worked for Best Buy as a manager for two years. He loved spending time with his family, playing sports and reading his bible. He was a loving son, father, brother and so much more.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lewis James II; grandfather Lewis James; maternal grandmother Vera Lee Grant; paternal grandmother Willie Mae Campbell; step grandfather Lloyd Campbell and his aunt Wonderlyn James.

Lewis leaves to cherish his memories his mother Brenda Grant-MackMiller; daughter Jasmine James; brother Deryck Pearson; uncles and aunts: M.C. Grant II and Joan Grant, Mike Grant and Jean Grant; half-sister Jarita James; cousins: Mike Grant, Jr. and Candy Grant, M.C. Grant III, Keisha Phillips, Moncherl Woods, Deanna Wiggins, Tiffani and David Wiggins; great-great aunts: Virginia Talford and Clementine Bibbs; extended family: Thomas and Nicola Gilbert, Tony Moore and a host of other relative and friends.
