IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loraine
Hartfield
June 3, 1953 – June 22, 2025
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:2
With a deep sense of sorrow and loss, our family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister on June 22, 2025, at the age of 72.
Loraine Hartfield was born on June 3, 1953, in Royse City, Texas to John L. Howard and Bobbie L. Baker. She spent her childhood and teen years in Royse City.
Loraine met Roger Hartfield in 1969; they were united in holy matrimony in 1985. Together they built a loving family that she cherished with all her heart.
Loraine attended Sweet Home Church in Garland, TX for many years. She was employed with the City of Garland where she retired after serving 15 years.
Loraine was a loving, selfless, and God-fearing wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family. She was a beacon of light, a source of comfort, and a pillar of strength to her beloved husband and sons. She loved unconditionally, and was deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her hobbies included cooking, playing bingo, working crossword puzzles and watching her favorite tv shows.
Loraine entered eternal rest after a life filled with faith, love and resilience. She is now reunited with her husband, Roger Hartfield; her parents, John L. Howard and Bobbie L. Baker; brother, Jack Howard; sisters, Christene Pondexter and Bobbie Jean Brooks; and nephew, Charles Haywood all who preceded her in death.
Those blessed by her presence will carry her memory in their hearts, honoring the love, laughter, and wisdom she so freely gave: her loving sons, Roderick Hartfield and Roger Hartfield, Jr.; grandchildren, Taylor Henry, Lewis Sotelo, and Hayden Hartfield; a great grandson, Kyrie Henry.
Loraine is also remembered with love by her brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will greatly miss her.
As we say goodbye to our mother, may her legacy of love and faith live on through us while we travel through life's journey without her.
May our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Loraine Hartfield, rest in God's loving embrace.
