IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loyce Marie
Hollie
August 15, 1949 – August 3, 2021
Loyce Hollie was born August 15, 1949 to Dorothy Duval Hamilton and Marshal Franklin Hamilton, El Paso, Texas.
Loyce spent most of her childhood in Brownwood, Texas where she attended school in the Brownwood Independent School District and was nurtured and raised by her beloved grandparents, Jessie Mae and Jim Hester.
Loyce accepted Christ at an early age under the pastorage of Rev. A. B. Jones of the Lee Chapel A. M. E. Church in Brownwood, Texas. In 1966, she moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She retired from U. S. Brass in Plano, Texas due to health reasons. She was a proud member of the Open Bible Fellowship Church in Plano, Texas, for more than 20 years where she attended and served faithfully until her health made attendance impossible.
Loyce loved sports! In particular, she was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who could always been seen glued to her TV whenever there was a Cowboys game being aired! And next to her love for the Cowboys was her love for a good spades game! She was an 'expert' spades player and generally, she and her partner, usually her son, Jeff or her deceased husband, "Hollie", were rarely declared losers!!!! Loyce loved family gatherings and the family always looked to her to coordinate the annual holiday gatherings which she always did so well!
After a courageous 18-month battle with an exhausting illness, the Lord called Loyce home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
Loyce leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Lavon (Danny) Sheffield, Marcus (Bea Lynn) Williams, Jeff (Altresha) Williams, godson, Brian (April) Stephens, grandchildren, Demetri Sheffield, Kadijah Sheffield, D'Montae Sheffield, Jeffrey Williams, Javon Williams, Jayla Williams, Camille Williams, Justin Williams, JaMarcus Williams, great-grandchildren, Cambri Sheffield, Harmony Williams, sister, Sylvia Dillard, sister and brother in love, Cynthia and Glen Phillips, special friends, Shirley Thursby and Mary Shankle and all of her nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members who loved and cherished her very much. She was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy Hamilton and Marshall Hamilton, her grandparents, Jim and Jessie Mae Hester, her husbands, Hayes Williams and Reagan Hollie, son, Michael, granddaughter, Carmial, sisters, Linda Fuller, Cheryl Hamilton and cousins, Dorothy Watters and Faye Allen.
