IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucy Mae
Smith
July 16, 1932 – October 26, 2024
Lucye Mae Williams Smith "Granny" took her eternal rest on October 26, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Lucye Williams Smith was the only child born to the late Rue Lee Adams and Eddie Williams. Lucye was raised in Dallas, Texas.
Lucye received her education in Catholic School, Dallas, Texas.
Lucye Smith married Leonard "Will" Smith, Sr. in Dallas, Texas and to the union 8 children were born.
Lucye entered the Healthcare field working at a Nursing Home. She later left the workforce to devote her life to raising her children and grandchildren.
Granny found joy in being surrounded by all 29 of her grandchildren on her birthday.
She leaves to cherish her memory; four daughters, Vickie Sherman, Sharon Smith, Patrice Smith, and Angela Knight (Anthony); five grandchildren that she raised as her own, Ebony Smith, Conan Smith, Antwaune Polk, Charmeka Smith, Charles Smith; 72 greatgrandchildren; 18 great great- grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Lucye gained her wings and reunited with her family that preceded her in death: her parents, husband, "Will"; one daughter, Aldo; three sons, Dwight, Tony and Leonard; a grandchild, Kenya Smith; two great grandchildren, Tylynn Walter and Kyrie Smith.
Granny may be gone from our sight, but she's never gone from our hearts. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, we would walk right up to heaven and bring her back again.
