Obituary

Lue Etta McKinzie was born March, 11 1947 in Montalba, Texas, to Jack and Jerline
(Scott) McKinzie; she was the second oldest of this union.
Lue received her diploma of education from Douglas High School in Plano, Texas.

She entered the workforce and served as a faithful employee at Palestine Independ-
ent School District for many years. She later relocated to Plano where she retired from Luminator

Technology Group in 2002.
Lue was a long term, passionate servant of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Usher Board
where she faithfully served up until two weeks ago.

Lue met the love of her life, Alvin Jenkins, as a young lady. They later become married and con-
tinued their lives until death did them apart.

Lue peacefully transitioned on February 17, 2024, as she was surrounded by her loved ones. She

was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Jenkins; parents, Jack and Jerline McKin-
zie; sisters, Ruby Baker, Sherry McKinzie Rolin and Mattie Joe McKinzie; and grandson Alvin

Adams.
Her precious memories will remain forever with her one and only son, Bradley Jenkins (Deanza)
of Plano TX; daughters, Teresa Hunt (Jimbo) of Mesquite TX, Velma Vines of St. Louis, MO,
Sandra Driver (Earl) of Lavon, TX, and Demeteria Spain (Rickey) of Lancaster, TX; brothers,
Major McKinzie of Plano, TX, Johnny McKinzie (Maria) of McKinney, TX, Kenneth McKinzie

(Jean) of Quincy, FL; sisters Vona Mims Forney, TX, Jackie Brown Plano, TX, Mary Baker Ten-
nessee Colony, TX, Pam McKinzie McKinney, TX, Cynthia (Derrick) Fort Worth, TX, and Alma

Click Klondike, TX; fourteen grandchildren, Stephanie, Tavanna, Crystal, Holly, Quoteka, Nik-
kole, Jazlynn, Rickia, Jayla, Tyree, Amiya, Addysyn, Ivie, Kaysen; ten great grandchildren,

Eur'Asia, Rici, Rihanna, Armani, Sean, KeyShawn, Alvin Jr., Makayla, Makenzie, Trinity; a spe-
cial niece, Trenia McKinzie Kameron (Kris) and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and

friends.
Lue was a beautiful God-fearing woman, loving wife, an amazing mother, and a selfless friend
who truly without a doubt, loved God. We will miss her dearly. She will always and forever be in
our hearts.
