IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margie
Caldwell
May 29, 1938 – March 27, 2024
Margie Laverne (Jefferson) Caldwell was born May 29, 1938 in Taylor, Texas.
Margie attended Taylor Public Schools. While attending high school in Taylor, Margie participated on the Debate Team and was selected as an Honor Roll student. In 1957, after completing her Junior year in high school, the family moved to the Dalworth Community in Grand Prairie, Texas. As a senior at Dalworth High School, Margie graduated "Special Honor Roll" under the tutelage of Dr. David Daniels. After graduating, she received a certification at Dallas Business School.
Margie was employed at Texas Instruments as a QA Inspector for several years. She was also employed at Raytheon and JCPenney working in the same capacity. After retiring, she was a School Crossing Guard in the Dalworth Community for eight years.
Margie accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. She joined St. John Baptist Church in 1957. As a member, she became a part of the Mass Choir, various Mission Groups, coordinated the Children's Church as well as the Hope Center. Margie never met a
stranger and was known for her willingness to help those in need, especially children. She was truly a Missionary for the development of God's Kingdom. She remained a faithful member and supporter of St. John Unleashed until her health declined.
Margie was a Christian woman of great faith. She was a strong, kindhearted, faithful and thoughtful lady who loved the Lord. She was such a unique, sweet person who was dependable in every aspect of her life. Her love for her sons and grandchildren was unconditional and endless. She was very protective of her sons and grands; and did all she could to make them smile.
Margie loved spending time with her family and going to family functions. She also enjoyed reading, volunteering and cooking. She was an excellent cook and loved to host family gatherings.
Margie slipped quietly away into eternity to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, David and Mattie Lee; three brothers, Thomas Jefferson, Timothy Jefferson, Sr., and Donald Jefferson;
one sister, Sally Roberson.
Margie leaves to cherish her memories: her loving sons, Keith Caldwell (Tara) and Craig "Scottie" Caldwell; sisters, Bettye McKinzie (David, Sr.) and Shirley Perry (Sherman); six grandchildren, Jerrin Holt, Keith Everett Caldwell, Jr., Fleniecia Caldwell, Amanda Tate (Derell), Tamika Caldwell Salas (Timothy), Talisa Caldwell; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Margie was absolutely loved and admired by all who knew her. The life she lived and the service she gave will continue to speak for her. Only time and eternity will reveal the number of lives touched by this remarkable lady's wisdom, kindness, love and compassion. She will al-
ways be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, friend and colleague to all who knew and loved her.
