IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margie Nell
Jackson
May 25, 1935 – August 24, 2024
Margie Nell Jackson was born May 25, 1935, to Willis Washington, Sr. and Evie Cumby in Tyler, Texas. She attended schools in Tyler and Midlothian, Texas.
She married Clinton Jackson on August 22, 1959. They celebrated 65 years of marriage. To this union, 2 sons were born, Clinton and Calvin. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother.
Margie gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church for 38 years. She had a quiet spirit and a willing heart.
She spoke soft, kind and encouraging words to everyone. She had a sweet and gentle soul. Her love was unconditional. The grace which she lived her life was that of a virtuous woman. Proverbs 31:10-31.
Margie loved watching her stories, General Hospital and All My Children. She cared deeply for her grandchildren. She cooked daily providing them with a home cooked meal. Her favorite part of the day was when they came home from school. She taught them to play dominoes and card games.
This story would not be complete if we did not pay homage to her holiday cooking. The dinner gatherings that were shared spoke volumes of the love she had for her family.
We find comfort in knowing that Margie's legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, the love she shared and the memories we will cherish forever.
Margie heard the voice of the Lord and answered the call on August 24th to be with those loved ones gone before her.
Margie is preceded in death by her son, Clinton Jackson; parents, Willis Sr. and Evie, 4 brothers, James, Ural, Floyd Mckinley, and Willis Jr.; 2 sisters, Zeffie Burger and Lillian Warren.
Leaving to cherish her memories are husband, Clinton; son, Calvin (Dawn) Jackson of Grand Prairie; 3 grandchildren, Wesley (Myka) Jackson of Grand Prairie, Whitney Jackson of Richardson, London Stewart of Denver, CO; 3 great grandchildren, Ava, Austin, and Amir; sister, Dorothy Searcy of Dallas; 2 brothers, Will Ellis of Grand Prairie and Loys L.
