Obituary

Mariam "June" Stewart was born on June 15, 1944 in Panama City, Panama and received her
calling from God on December 9, 2023. June grew up in Panama City with her parents and
eight siblings. This is where she learned to "Feed the Soul", as she was always passionate
about cooking and inspiring others through giving and nurturing.
June attended beautician school at an early age in Panama. She had her first child in 1964 and
became the proud wife of a United States Army Soldier. They had three more children and
moved to the United States. June blazed a trail for numerous family members who immigrated

from Panama to the United States. She was a foundation and encouraged, inspired and support-
ed many of her family members with their transition to the States. Today, her family members

include Doctors, Lawyers, Entrepreneurs, Law Enforcement Officers, Military Service Mem-
bers and a plethora of other professional careers.

She was a devoted mother who poured her heart and soul into raising her children to be up-
standing young men and women. Throughout her travels, she met numerous people who em-
braced her, not only as a friend but also a close confidant and dependable person. She had a re-
sounding impression on all of those who were fortunate to have met her. She "fed their souls"

with encouragement and love. June will be remembered as a loving person who enjoyed
spending time with her family and friends and especially loved cooking for EVERYONE. She
always found the best in people and would help anyone she could.

June is survived by her loving children and in-laws: Levy and Scharleen Green, Zania Wil-
liams,

Bryan and Mechelle Kennedy, and Ronald Stewart; her grandchildren: Levy Green Jr., Dr.
Brandon and Christina Green, Joshua Green, Amaya Green, Davanya Williams, Brianna
Williams, Meryn Kennedy, Bryce Kennedy, Kiana Stewart, Jalen Stewart, and Marcus Stewart;

her surviving siblings: Anita Dunkley and Carol "Paps" Howell; and over one hundred cous-
ins, nieces and nephews. She will be deeply and truly missed by all those who had the oppor-
tunity to meet her.
