Marie Annette Daniels-Akins passed away March 9th, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on September 16th, 1962, in Milford, Texas to Willie Daniels, Jr., and Mary Ann (Carter) Daniels.

Marie attended school both in Milford and Fort Worth, Texas. She worked as a customer service representative for a while until her illness.

Marie met Anthony L. Akins in 1993 and were united as one in 2008. Marie and Anthony shared marital bliss for over 30 years – until her death.

Marie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was also an avid homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a beautiful, fun loving, selfless and compassionate woman and who had a smile that was contagious in any room. Her heart was big enough for everyone to feel love.

Marie is preceded in death by her daughter, Candalin Monic Daniels; her parents, Willie Daniels, Jr., and Mary Ann Daniels; brothers, Van Copeland Daniels, Gary Wesley Daniels, and Kenneth Melvin Daniels; sister, Josephine Daniels McShan (Milton).

Marie is survived by her devoted husband, Anthony L. Akins, Sr.; beautiful daughter, Mary Ann Brown (TyRon); granddaughters, Kierra Daniels and Serenity Brown; grandsons, Craig Nealey and Cordarion Daniels; special grandson, Jarmarl Hollman, Jr.; sisters, Joan McConico, Margaret Daniels-Titus, and JoAnn Daniels; stepchildren, Amy Smith, Kimberly Allen Geter, Anthony L. Akins, Jr., Chane Akins, and Constance Ellison.

Marie also leaves to cherish her loving memories: thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends whom all loved her dearly.
