Marion "Big Man" James Brown entered into eternal rest on, Monday, March 16, 2020. He was born on January 8, 1965, to the parentage of Reggie Ike and Ray Dell Wilson Brown in Dallas, Texas.
Marion was a 1983 graduate of the Grand Prairie High School where he was an outstanding football player and was the all-star starting Quarterback. After high school, he went on to play football at North Texas State University, Southwestern Oklahoma University, and Central Oklahoma State University.
"Big Man" as he was known by many, enlisted in the US Navy on November 23, 1987. He retired after serving his country for 20 years. He loved his family to life and was a devoted and loving father, brother and uncle.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents, Reggie Ike and Ray Dell Wilson Brown; sister Jo Nell Collins and brother Lonnie Jackson, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memories are, his son Samuel Andrew Brown; two sisters Carolyn Johnson and Kimberly Lucas (Ray); two brothers: Reginald Charles Brown and Artie Ray Brown (Rhonda); nine nieces: Stephanie Sparks (Marcus), June Hervey, LaShaunda Collins-Baker, Nicole Brown, LaQuesha Lucas, Tiffany Brown, Courtne' Franklin, Artaya Brown, and Tamiya Brown; seven nephews: Jerry Hervey, Jr. (Sharon), Robert Johnson, Carlas Brown, Jermaine Jackson, Jason Mayes, Roderick Lucas (Antoinette) and Calvin Johnson (Lorie) and a host of aunts, cousins, and friends that loved him dearly.
