Marvin Lee Foots, 68, of Mesquite, Texas entered eternal rest on November 13, 2025. He resided in Mesquite, TX. Marvin was born in Dallas, Texas on February 10, 1957. He was the beloved son of Maple McGhee and Claude Foots.

A man guided by spiritual calling, Marvin was the Pastor of Interna-tional House of Refuge, Inc., faithfully serving God and his commu-nity with dedication and humility. His sermons were heartfelt, his wisdom steady, and his compassion evident in every life he touched. His warm smile, gentle nature, and unwavering faith left an enduring legacy. Marvin lived with intention, purpose, and gratitude for every blessing God placed in his path.

Marvin was also a man of exceptional talent and passion. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, he nurtured a lifelong love for the culinary arts. He was known for his mastery in the kitchen—but also on the grill. Marvin loved to barbecue, and his skill in creating rich, smoky fla-vors made gatherings unforgettable. Coupled with his talent as a skilled fisherman, Marvin found joy both on the water and in prepar-ing the day's catch for family and friends. Fishing and cooking were outlets of peace and connection for him, and he shared those gifts generously.

Marvin leaves behind his beloved wife, LaShuran Foots; daughter, Michelle (Alcender) Williams; sister, Maple Harris; and brother, Freddy Foots.

Marvin is also remembered fondly by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, great nieces, cousins and close friends with lives he touched with kindness and sincerity.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Maple McGhee and Claude Foots; son, Jimmy Beaty; a nephew, Norman Lee Wilson; as well as grandparents and other beloved family members.
