Marvin Joe Howard was born on May 17, 1975 to Linda Howard Emory and Sylvester Johnson in Dallas, Texas. He received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District.

Marvin accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the House of God Church in Garland, Texas, under the leadership of Elder A.D. Dabbs.

He was preceded in death by his sister Malinda Johnson; brother Billy Howard; sister Jennifer and a host of other relatives.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memories his mother Linda Emory (Howard) of Quinlan, Texas; birth father Sylvester Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; step-father Melvin Emory of Quinlan, Texas; two sisters: Sylvia Allen (Jessie) of Hope, Arkansas, and Sharon Johnson of Quinlan, Texas; three nieces: Issionna McMullin, Mercedees Graham and Makayla Johnson; four nephews: Jesse Allen, Dewayne Allen, Marquizs Graham and Isaiah Johnson. He also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
