IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary V.
Bell
December 24, 1948 – May 6, 2025
Mary Virginia Bell was born in McKinney, Texas on December 24, 1948, to Harrison Williams and Pauline Holmes.
Affectionately known as "Figgit" at an early age, she grew up in McKinney, TX. She attended Doty High School and later enrolled at the McKinney Job Corps.
Figgit met and married Ralph Bell and to this union three beautiful girls were born - Rhonda, Malikah and Kwamesha. She was nurturer and protector who adored her family, and strived to be the best wife and mother she could be. She loved family time, cooking, playing dominoes, listening to music and watching her favorite NFL team - the Dallas Cowboys.
Figgit had a passion for caring for others. She was a caretaker for many years and was well liked and respected her residents and their families. She was characterized as a hardworking, loving, and kind caretaker who would would always go above and beyond the needs of her patients.
To know Figgit was to love her. She was a selfless and compassionate woman who offered love, laughter and light to everyone she met. As a matter of fact, she never met a stranger; she would give to others even when she didn't have much to give. She spread kindness and warmth to all who knew her and was never judgmental. Her smile was infectious, her grace warmed the room, she was truly beautiful inside and out.
She attended Eternity Community Church in Frisco, TX until her health started to decline. She went home to be with her heavenly father on May 6, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents; a granddaughter, ShaRhonda Griffin; two sisters, Ella Mae Risby and Betty Palmer; and two brothers, Bobby Charles Williams and George Williams; one son in law, Fabian Green.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her devoted daughters, Rhonda Griffin (Eugene), Malikah Williams (Jermaine Webb) and Kwamesha Bell-Green; ten grandchildren, Tevin Williams, Eugene Griffin III, Rafael Webb, Ti'opera Webb, Nakeitra Mack, Javis Moten, Zy'n Lockett, Zo'e Lockett, Kaleb Green, Faith Green; eight great grandchildren, Leyah Williams, Xabrian Williams, Zatavien Williams, Za'Kyrie Williams, Milani Jackson, Eugene Griffin IV, Maleek Webb and Asiah Murray.
Also her significant other, Edwin Vine; two sisters, Annie Williams and James Etta Williams; three brothers, Harrison Williams, Tommy Lee Williams and Carl Williams; two special cousins, Robert Radway and Nathan Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
As we bid farewell to Figgit, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit, strength, and faith will live on in her family and the many lives she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire us all.
