IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Ann
Davis
September 7, 1956 – October 16, 2024
An amazing, loving woman born September 7th, 1956, in Dallas, TX. She shared 68 unforgettable years with us here on earth until October 16th, 2024, when her illness overcame her body and she peacefully entered the eternal heavenly gates to reunite with her mother and father, Ruby and Noah Tennon, Sr.; her bonus son, Mike King and her one only grandson, Marcus Willis, who filled her heart even when she didn't know it was empty, her loving sister, Nora Jean Washington and brother, Noah Tennon, Jr.
Mary Ann left her mark on this world. She attended and graduated from Grand Prairie High. She later met Brazil Bailey, and a beautiful baby girl was born, Shalanda Tennon. Mary went on to work at Tex Star Plastic. Enjoying what life brings, she met and married Benny Davis. Married several amazing years until they decided to go their separate ways. Mary continued to focus on her daughter, work, and family.
Mary Ann was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when you needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She worked hard so she could play harder and spend her free time doing what she loved to do. A friend to many, her presence could fill a room with her warm laughter… no family gathering was complete without her being the life of the party dancing the night away. Mary loved spending time with her family. She was cherished, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength that she instilled in her one and only daughter, Shalanda, whom she leaves to continue to be resilient.
Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory with 4 bonus grandchildren, Babie Alexis Sparks (Jebron), Diamond Durham, Jethro Washington, and Nathon Alexander; two bonus granddaughters, Makayla and Malaysia Sparks; one brother, Joe Lee Tennon (Jackie); four sisters, Trudie Mae Brookins, Thelma Jones (Richard), Carolyn Jones (Rufus), and Dianne Tennon; one bonus sister, Joyce Stiggers-Traylor and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A very special thank you to her caretakers who cared for her around the clock when she took ill prior to her being admitted to the hospital Thelma Jones, Dianne Tennon, and Theresa Washington.
