Obituary

Mary Lee Simon was born on February 3, 1938 to Ophelia and Joseph Simon in Duson, Louisiana.

A Native of Louisiana she resided in Dallas, Texas the latter part of her life. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 32 years. An employee at Walnut Place Nursing Home for over 10 years, a job she took on later in life. After retirement she devoted her time to caring for her family with love, wisdom and some of the best food you could imagine. She enjoyed occasional trips to the Casino, even more so if she won. She was a very straight forward woman whose bad side you did not want to get on, she could have some choice words for you. However she had the sweetest heart and soul you could imagine. She maintained her independence in her home at 80 years of age. She will be Greatly Missed.

She departed this life on February 21, 2018

She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister Theresa Simon of Mentro Park, California. Three children Michael (Madeline) Simon, Carla Simon both of Dallas, Texas and Angela Simon of Lake Charles. Four grandchildren Brandon Simon, William Guillory, Shanelle Guillory all of Dallas, Texas and Danny (Crystal) Daucette of Austin, Texas. Five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
