A GLIMPSE AT THE LIFE OF

Maurice Jacob Owens affectionately known as "Mo", "Reece" and "Pudda" was born on October 25, 1990, to the union of Rosemary and Larry Owens in Plano, Texas. Maurice was introduced to Christ at age nine. He was first baptized at North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship Church when it was located at Centennial. As an adult, he was baptized at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints in Dallas, Texas in 2010. Maurice was introduced to the church by his best friend/brother Keatn Rast. Maurice and Keatn first met in 1997 in the first grade, but they didn't really get close until the third grade. After that they were pretty much inseparable. They both later graduated from Plano Senior High School in 2009. Maurice later worked for Dr. Rast, Keatn's Dad, at 1st Eyecare as a lens cutter. He was employed at 1 st Eyecare until his medical conditions prevented him from being able to work. Maurice was known to be quiet to strangers, but once he decided he liked you, he would cherish the bond. He truly loved his friends and family ... not forgetting the furry parts of the families either. Maurice was also known to love sports, food, games, movies and of course, Batman. Maurice leaves behind both his immediate family – the Owens and his extended family – the Rast to cherish his loving memories; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, pets, friends and many more who knew him and loved him very much.
