Obituary

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38 - 39
The celebration of life for Maylene King Alexander began on
December 2, 1957 to the parents of the late Jim W. King and the late
Eula Gatson Warren King in Monroe, Louisiana.
Mae, as she is affectionately known, accepted Christ as her savior at a
very early age at County Line Baptist Church in Laran, Louisiana.
Later in life, she became a member of Blooming Grove Baptist
Church of Farmerville, Louisiana. She served as a faithful member of
the church as a choir and usher board member.
Mae attended Eastside Elementary and Middle School. She graduated
from Farmerville High School in 1975. Mae matriculated at
Grambling State University (formerly Grambling College) and
graduated with honors. Immediately upon graduation she was
employed at Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO).
She married Howard Bernard Jackson in 1977 who preceded her in
death. During that union God blessed them with two children, Sean
Bernard Jackson, and Tyrell Bernard Jackson, who both preceded her
in death. Mae later married Derek Parks and briefly married Fred
Alexander. Her beautiful daughter, Chauncey Alease Parks, was the
offspring of her marriage to Derek Parks.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Christine Archie
Porter, Viola Warren Hill, and Clemmie Sue Warren Charles.
Mae leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Chauncey Alease
Parks; one grandson, Ke'Shaun Jackson; two granddaughters,
Tatyanna Rochae Harris and Shonetra Brianna King and one great
granddaughter; three sisters, Leola Taylor of Bellevue, NE, Pearline
Warren of Dallas, TX and Sheila King-Coleman of Upper Marlboro,
MD; 5 brothers, Jethroe Warren, Jr of Houston, TX, Thomas Everett
Warren of Houston, TX, Oliver King of Memphis, TN, James Terry
King of Norcross, GA, and Antonio Mitchell King of Kemp, TX, and a
host of nieces, and nephews and other family members, and friends.
God saw fit to place a special person in Mae's life whom she held near
and dear to her heart, Clyde Ray Roberts, her partner of over fifteen
years
