A Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Melba McClellan Richardson will be held at 10:AM, Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church 1233 Hwy 66 Garland, TX 75040. Graveside services will follow at Rosehill Garden Cemetery after the service and procession from Garland, Texas.
Mrs. Richardson was born on March 13, 1925, in Marshall, Texas.  She accepted Christ at an early age.  Over the years, she worshiped at Macedonia Baptist Church and Union Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall.  She was currently a member of  Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Garland, Texas.
Mrs. Richardson was educated in Marshall.  She was a graduate of Central High School.  She held a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Wiley College in Marshall and Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, respectively.
Mrs. Richardson was a retired educator .  Throughout her teaching career in Texas and California, she taught various elementary grade levels and special education classes.
Mrs. Richardson was called home by Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 23.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Alfred Leon Richardson and her only child, Mr. Ronnie A. Smith, Sr.   Mrs. Richardson leaves many devoted family members and friends to cherish her memory.
