Michael D. Jackson was born September 17, 1981 to Michael and Juanita Jackson in Austin, Texas. He grew up in Dallas, TX in the Bruton Oaks Apartments.
Michael "Chops" was a graduate from W.W. Samuel High School in Dallas, TX in 2001. He furthered his education by attending ATI Career Training Center where he received his license as an Automatic Service Technician. He also attended Continental Truck Driving School and acquired his Commercial Driver's License (CDL). He has been working in the profession as a truck driver for the last 12 years. His current job was with US. Foods.
Michael was baptized at Bon Air Baptist Church on June 24, 1984. Michael accepted Christ under the leadership of Bishop Lee R. Bruner at Living Waters Ministries. He faithfully served as Bishop Bruner's amour bearer. He later became a member of Love and Grace Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Derek Lewis II along with his wife Shree.
Michael "Big Mike" coached with North Texas Warriors Organization for 5 years. He had a passion for coaching and developing children. Michael and Shree became licensed foster/adopt parent of abuse and neglected children. His hobbies were fishing and bowling. He was a Die-Hard Dallas Cowboy fan, till the end! He enjoyed watching the games and all sports at Buffalo Wild Wings.
God saw fit to summon him home on May 31, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Jackson, grandparents Lee and Willie Jackson and Curtis and Jessie Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his devoted wife Shree Jackson, his stepdaughter Erica Lonette-Davis, son Caleb Butler, his daughter Soraya Jones-Jackson and his God-son Brandon RaShad Barnes Jr. His mother Juanita Jackson, brothers: Keith Isaac (Katrina), Michael Lee Farris; Sisters: Demetra Frati (Dennis) Yvette Woodworth (Edward), Shonna Cooks (Erick), Sara McCollister and a host of nieces, nephews and closes friends: Brandon Barnes, Gordon Daniels, Rodrick Stephes, Joshua Rice, Kalon Rice and Maurice Simpson.
