Obituary

Mother Evelyn Junette Freeman was born May 10, 1938, in Limestone County to Mr. June Freeman and Ms. Sarah Iola Taylor and was the oldest of eight children. She later moved and was raised by her aunt, Ruth Hobbs at 6 weeks old. She remained there until her aunt's passing. She graduated in 1954 from Woodland High School.

Mother Freeman was baptized at an early age and later joined Calvary Temple in 1989 under the leadership of Pastor L.L. Cato and served there for over 33 years until her health began to fail.

Ms. Evelyn later worked for Saint Joseph Hospital as a Nurse's Aide for many years.

Mother Freeman is preceded in death by both her parents, and four children: Willie Earl Freeman, Johnny Ray Shannon, Michael Shannon, and Lille May Freeman.

Those left to cherish her memories are four children; four brothers; three sisters; twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
