Nathan Nabal Johnson, 58, affectionately known as
"Nate", was born on March 11, 1966, in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Mr. Otis Johnson and
Mrs. Geneva Gwen.

After relocating to Garland, Texas, Geneva met and married Fred
Combs, Sr. This union allowed for Nate to become the typical
"Older Brother" to Fred, Jr., Tim, Frederick and Karen whilst
growing up.
Nate was educated in Texas' public schools. Shortly after finishing
his schooling in 1984, he began working for Tyson's Frozen
Foods, until a severe hand injury forced his retirement.
For more than 10 years, Nate worked as a skilled processor at
Tyson's Frozen Foods while gaining experience working in its
wholesale meat processing facility in Garland, Texas. In his spare
time, he was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He never left home
without donning his fan-gear, including wearing one of his many
jerseys. Nate enjoyed cycling; you could often see him out
bike-riding around the city of Garland. He also loved listening to
music; his headphones were an integral piece in his daily wear.
Nate truly understood that it was more blessed to give than to
receive. His generosity knew no bounds. Nate was a kind soul who
would help anyone. His cheerful demeanor was felt in any room he
entered.
Nate was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, Otis and
Fred, Sr.; brother, Michael Combs; and sister, Olivia Marie
Pollard.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Geneva Marie Combs, of
Garland, TX; children, Demarcus, Desiree, and Dominique of East,
TX and Lakayla of Merced, CA.; siblings, Mrs. Ive Mason (Larry)
of Los Angeles, CA, Mr. David Gwin (Gwen), of Denver, CO,
Mr. Fred Combs, Jr. (Vicky), of Heath, TX, Mr. Timothy Combs
(Kymberli), of McKinney, TX, Mr. Frederick Combs of Garland,
TX and Ms. Karen Combs of Dallas, TX; and a host of nephews,
nieces, friends and family.
